Hello!

This is my layout for the first challenge of Scrap Tournament 2014!

I decided to take some pictures of the houses just across my building…the little houses that have been abandoned for ages but…there is a story behind this mess..

I live in New Ionia a city that was build in 1923 and these are the first houses here….

So, I wrote the journaling in my language because of the theme...Besides, I intend to donate this layout to my daughter’s school so this should be in Greek. :-)

So here is my text in English:

"New Ionia is a town that was build in 1923 for one need…The need for thousands of refugees to house their new life, their new hope… They came to Greece after the destruction of Ionia in 1922 … They lost everything and they were able to carry only their dignity..This is my neighborhood …the neighborhood that hosted the first of the refugees..A neighborhood that is dying…but still where the most beautiful memories live for these proud and worthy men with the weird –for us the children – language, the beautiful smells and flavors, the music and the songs, and the big hope that life will go on…"
